You stop explaining every decision.
Stop correcting every idiot.
Stop attending arguments you never bought tickets for.

From the outside, that can look like weakness.

It isn’t.

Peace is knowing exactly what you’re capable of—and realizing most situations aren’t worth the admission price.

Compassion doesn’t require becoming somebody’s doormat.
Forgiveness doesn’t require giving them another key.
And faith sure as hell doesn’t require pretending bad behavior is good behavior.

You can wish somebody well from a distance.

A very comfortable distance.

Be kind when you can.
Stand your ground when you must.
Know the difference.

Don’t confuse peace with permission.
